FINALLLLYYYY!!!!
Hello Family!
So this week was awesome!!! We went on switch offs this week with the sisters that are serving in the international branch. So my companion went to international (where she had to speak english the whole time.... GROOOOSSSSSS) And S. Chan came with me to Sapaansung! She is so cute! She is from Hong Kong and speaks like 10 languages. But it was so fun to serve with her! We both had the same trainer too so that was fun! It's interesting to see how we both work b/c we did have the same trainer! But it was so fun!
Then, the highlight of the week.... Brother Bus got baptized!!!! FIIINNNNAAALLLLYYYY!!!!! I feel like there has just been problem after problem trying to get him baptized, despite the fact that he was ready a month ago... he finally got baptized on Saturday! It was the best thing ever! And to top it off... our recent convert... the one that just got baptized about 3 weeks ago... he was the one who baptized him!!! AHHHHH!!!! There honestly is no better feeling than seeing your RC baptize your investigator!! It was sooo cute too b/c he is like 1/2 the size of B. Bus... we weren't sure if he could do it! But all was good and it was so amazing!
Another side note for Jason... this week we gave out a Book of Mormon in Tagalog!! hahaha! So there's this one restaraunt that the sisters love to go to on P-day and all the workers there are from the Philippines and there is one that is our server like EVERY time, so we decided that this time we would bring him a Book of Mormon as his tip! hahaha So we gave it to him and he said he would read it! We still have to go back and follow up with him, but that would be awesome if he does! hahaha
Another great week here in Thailand! I love every second of it! I hope everyone is doing good at home! Love you all!

Wan Deg aka Children's day
HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY! Yep it exists! The second saturday in January is Childrens day in Thailand! How cool is that! They need to pick it up in America... it's not fair that there's a mothers day, a fathers day, but what about the kids right!??! Well they have it right here so it's ok! hahaha So this year for Children's day our Zone was able to go volunteer and an event for kids here in Bangkok! It was so fun! they just had this huge area set up for the kids to go and play games and do a bunch of random activites and stuff, and we were there to play with them and help around w/ the games and such! It was way cool! I LOVE KIDS! haha
On another note, we also have a baptism coming up this week! Brother Bus is his name and he is awesome!! He was actually suppose to get baptized this last saturday but during his interview our District Leader changed his date on us.... not really sure why, b/c he passed his interview w/ flying colors... the DL even said that he has never had a better interview and what not, but he still moved his date to this next sat. the 19th! But I am extatic! He is such an amazing investigator... in fact when i first got to this area I had no clue he was an investigator b/c he was just hanging around at the church w/ the members helping with everything! All he has been waiting for is to get school off on Sundays, and he was finally able to so now he can be baptized! I am soo happy! So that was definitley a highlight of the week, there is nothing better than seeing someone change and come unto Christ! :)
I love the work here in Thailand! There is nothing better! I hope you are all doing good at home. Love you all!

Bitter/Sweet
Hello Family!
It was so good to talk to you last week! I hope you are all enjoying the rest of your Christmas Break! This week has been soo good and so sad... but i will start with the sweet! We had a baptism yesterday for our invistigator, B. Bing. He is awesome! He is 25 and he just has such a strong testimony of the Church. This last week we had what was one of the most spiritual lessons i have had thus far! He taught us, not us teaching him! We were teaching about Baptism and the covenant we make and he just explained it so perfectly and ah i don't even know how to explain it, but the spirit was so strong and i am so excited that he got baptized! Yay! So that was the sweet part of this week! We were able to bring another person unto Christ and fulfill our purpose as missionaries!
Now for the Bitter.... This morning was spent at the airport and saying goodbyes to my companion from last transfer... the one who was really sick... Well she has not gotten better and her case went up to the church doctors, and therefore, despite all our Presidents efforts to keep her here, she was told she has to go home, so she was on a plane today. It was the saddest thing! I have never met anyone who has a desire as big as her's to be a missionary! She is a convert to the church herself and just wants to share the gospel and she was sooooo devastated that she had to go home, as was every other person here! She is such a fantastic missionary and it was so sad that she had to go, and so fast! It was seriously the blink of an eye! We just had a Zone Conference last Wed. and things seemed fine, we thought she would at least stay til the end of the transfer, but then she got a call that she had to leave!
So this week was so happy and so sad and all of these things that happened just make me appreciate being a missionary so much more! This is by far the most amazing calling in the world! We have the chance to see people's lives completely change for the better and to help the know their Savior! It is so great! I feel so blessed to have this opportunity! Go do some missionary work this week!
Love, S. Itri
