Everything Happens for a Reason... So I'm told.

Ok, so now that i am less frustrated with the whole stupid flaky family situation i will update one what has gone on in the last week!

So, Last thursday i got on a bus and headed to philly to my cousins house... i got here and man do i just feel sooo at home!! i love being here! So I have been here a week and i had Three interviews for new nanny jobs! 2 of them were local and one was in New Jersey. They each went well, and i got offered the job by all 3! However, I didn't want to be so far away in NJ so i decided not to take that one, and one of the local ones i would have needed my own car, which i obviously don't have, so i took the 3rd job! and to be honest it was the one i wanted the most!!
The family is great! They live only 15 minutes away from my cousins and my brother, and i am going to live with them and they are giving me a car! I am STOKED! The mom and dad are both doctors which is soo perfect! They already said that i could come in sometime and shadow them at work and kind of see what it's like in the medical field! I am soooo excited for that! They have 3 kids, Kenny age 12, Bridget age 9, and Katie age 7! They are ADORABLE!! Kenny is sooo funny! he is a typical 12 year old boy, but he does have a little potty mouth... it's kind of funny. Bridget is soo cute... at first i could tell she was a little hesitant to me coming b/c she really likes their other nanny that is leaving, but by the end of the first night meeting her, she started to get more excited and she gave me a hug and stuff.. it was cute. Then, there is Katie... who is just the sweetest thing! Right when i met her she gave me a hug and i think we are going to be good friends me and her! hahaha The parents are also sooo nice! I can tell we are going to get along great! I think it is all going to work out sooo nicely!

So, even though last week i was soooo beyond frustrated with that other family, I think everything really does happen for a reason... i mean if it weren't for them, i probably wouldn't have come out to the east coast, and they did get me a nice little start out here, so it wasn't all bad. And thanks to them not wanting me with them anymore, i got to move closer to my family and friends out here in philly!!
I think overall, i am going to be MUCH happier here and be able to have more fun... i mean i already am planning on going down to North Carolina for memorial day weekend with my brother and my cousin! I am pretty stoked for it! So, in conclusion... everything does happen for a reason... it might frustrate us at times as to why certain things have to happen... but in the end it all works out!!! :D

The ULTIMATE Frustration!!!!!!!

So one of my older posts was a frustration list... well this frustration takes all those and is about 1 bajillion times more frustrating.... FLAKY PEOPLE!!!!!!! AAAAHHHHH!!!!

I just got to harrisburg and got all settled, i made some friends, got asked to speak in church, got invited to go to some baseball games, got a gym pass and was put on this families car insurance and guess what?! that was all a waste!!!! This stupid family i am working for came into my room last night totally UNEXPECTED and were like so this isn't working out... we don't want a nanny anymore!! AHHHHH!!!!!! i wanted to scream i was soo angry! Especially because they did this to me once already!!!! When i applied for the job they offered it to me, i accepted and then they changed their mind said they wanted me to come and guess what they changed their mind again!!!!! I am sooooooo dang upset right now!!!! How can you be so indecisive?!?!?

So, now i am back to being stressed trying to find a dang job again which is driving me crazy!! I hate this! Sending out hundreds of emails and just waiting for people to email me back!! it is sooo annoying!!!!! And i so badly want to stay on the east coast!! i love it sooo much out here and i am just praying that i can find as good of a job that i had!

Anyways that is my Ultimate frustration! So if you don't want to frustrate me don't be flaky, otherwise i might just EXPLODE!!!!!!

Two Weeks.

Wow! I can't believe how much has changed in just two weeks! I have had to say my goodbyes to my friends at BYU, a lot of them leaving for 2 years, and i had to pack my life for 4 months and move to the east coast!

Saying goodbye is never fun. This was no different... saying goodbyes to the boys was the worse! I am not going to be able to see them for at least another 2 years!

These people have seriously been soo awesome this past year! There have been soo many fun times and i am going to miss them for the next 2 years!! All these people made my freshman year probably the best it could have possibly been! I am soo proud of all of them for going on their missions and even though i am going to miss them, i know they are going to be GREAT missionaries and preach the gospel to people all over the world!!! I love all of them and can't wait to awkwardly see them on campus in 2 years!! :)

And how could i not talk about my AMAZING roommates! Man we have had some good times this year, and it will never be the same from here on out!

From roasting marshmallows at the bell tower, to starting fires in our kitchens we have had one heck of a year! Always full of excitement and new "accents" CONQISTIDORE!!!! I love these girls so much and am soo happy that we were roommates this year b/c without them life probably would have sucked BIG TIME!! I miss these girls soo much already and its only been a week... pretty pathetic i know... but its weird not to be 5 feet from them basically at all times!!! hahaha. I can't wait until we finally get to move out of the dorms and into the Elms! it's going to be another exciting adventure for sure!!

So moving is probably one of the most STRESSFUL things ever!! After saying all my goodbyes to people in provo i had to go up to kaysville and say goodbyes again!! then i went to a concert with some of those friends as a last hoorah and found out that my friend curtis is moving to san diego which means i won't get to see him in forever either!! it was a sad moment.

But then i got to listen to rogue wave play their amazing music which helped out a bit. After the concert i went back to provo and was up all night packing and getting ready to head to harrisburg pennsylvania for the summer!!!

At the airport probably the coolest thing ever happened... well sorta.... standing a little ways behind me was ROGUE WAVE!!! the band i went to see the night before.... unfortunately i wasn't able to talk to them.... but it was still pretty sweet!

After making it through security the real adventure begins! I got on my flight and arrived in the Denver airport and had an hour and a half layover. By this time it was still only about 10 am UGH!!! From Denver you would think i would go straight to harrisburg... but no... i had another 3 hour layover in Chicago!!! At least it was suppose to only be 3 hours.... but thanks to those marvelous tornados in the south, the plane i was suppose to be on didn't make it to Chicago until about 1 1/2 hours after it was suppose to!!! Traveling can be sooooo frustrating sometimes!!!!!! But eventually the plane got there and i FINAllY was able to fly into harrisburg and waiting for me at the airport was my new "boss" Barb and her little girl Stella, who i will be nannying for for the next 4 months (wow thats a lot of "for/4s").

The Payoff!

When we were driving home from the airport it felt like i was finally home again!! Man i missed the east coast!!! it is soooo gorgeous out here! driving on the winding roads through the trees!! UH! there is noo better feeling!!! Then Barb showed me around the house and it is gorgeous!!! My room is GIGANTIC!!! i'm pretty sure it is the size of my entire apartment at BYU! HA! and it is pretty cute too!! I absolutely LOVE it!! Also, the view in the backyard is AMAZING!!!! i missed the forrest SO much!

This is what i get to look out and see every day!!! isn't it just soo GORGEOUS!!!!!! and notice the little creek down at the bottom, which once it gets a little warmer i will be able to go play down there with the kids! Speaking of how much more adorable can you get than this?

This is little Sam!! isn't he the most precious thing you have ever seen!? I love him already! He was just adopted from China in December so he doesn't speak any english but he sure knows how to point at things and get what he wants!! If he wasn't just soo cute i think it would bother me a little but just look at him!!!!! ADORABLE!!

And then there is Stella, who is so cute too!! she is at school most of the day when i am working right now... but when she gets home she always runs and gives me a hug and we play some games! She is just so fun to be around and i can't wait for her to get out of school!!!

Along with getting to be around the cutest little kids EVER, the nanny business has some other little perks! My first paycheck=all in cash and NO taxes to be paid! also they bought me a gym membership that i will be able to use for the summer, which has a pool workout rooms and classes like ZUMBA! i love zumba!! hahaha. Another perk! they put me on their insurance so now i have a car to drive around pretty much whenever i want!! Isn't my job pretty sweet?! i definitely think so!!

Well I am pretty sure that is all i have to say for now! It still blows my mind at how much can change in just TWO weeks! AH!

Literally?! No not literally! That's disgusting!

Wow, if you haven't noticed I am not very good at this whole blogging thing, but eventually I will get better. Currently I am also trying to get better at playing ping pong, since it seems to be a big hit over at Maeser and EVERYONE plays, so my goal is to eventually be able to beat some of the boys over there. Murph is my partner in this endeavor because neither of us have a clue what we are doing, so hopefully together we will be able to figure it out! Shawn has also helped me, even though he lies to me and tells me I am good, I know that I am not, but at least he is being nice (unlike his rude roommate James! hahaha just kiddin) but hopefully one day I will actually be good!

Today Rachel did point out something that I am good at... I am a pro chopper! My specialty for today was cheese, but I also am pro at tomatoes, onions, lettuce, carrots, basically any produce! Thanks culinary arts for teaching me how to chop things!

One other thing I also really want to do is have a dirt clod fight. I just saw Where the Wild Things Are and they had one and it definitely inspired me! So, once it gets warmer, I fully intend on having a full on Dirt Clod WAR!

This week I realized how clumsy and unaware of things I am. On Tuesday when I got home I looked down at my hand and saw red stuff all over my hand, I thought I had just mysteriously gotten red ink all over my hand, only to realize it was blood and I had just cut my thumb open... (which I still have no idea how I did). But Rachel made it better by giving me a Hello Kitty Band-aid! :) Then, on Wednesday it was raining outside, so I brought my umbrella to class, and as I was putting it down the little clippy thing pinched my finger, and it took me about 10 minutes to realize that when it had pinched me, it took a little bit of my skin with it and now I was bleeding on my other hand! Man I am so oblivious to things like this.

Well, that is my craziness for now, maybe I will write again soon, but there are no guarantees.

Frustration.

Today I have several frustrations.

My Awesome LIfe.

So pretty much I have the best roommates in the world!!!

Rachel is so cool and we have life talks with our therapist named Bryce, we talk about our complicated issues and we have semi sleepovers in our kitchen.. but it can't be considered a real sleepover without Laursie here.

Laura aka Laursie is our adopted roommate and I love her to death, even though she ditched out on our sleepover tonight, but that's ok because she was just being a good friend, so I understand, but she is missed terribly.

Murph is awesome and goes on random adventures and let's me tag along with her which makes her even more awesome, she also has to deal with sharing a room with me and puts up with my junk everywhere and never says anything about it which is pretty much amazing.

Andrea is just so funny and makes me laugh all the time, and I am sorry that we had to destroy her hope flower and replace it with new ones... except not really cuz hers smelt up our entire kitchen... but I still Love her.

Emily is the sweetest person I have ever met in my life!!! she goes out of her way to make sure that the rest of us are not being distracted... and she is so funny too!! Everything she says just cracks me up and I love it when she makes jokes!

Sarah is so fun to talk to and hear all her stories! she is pretty much the person who helps keep my life focused and somewhat organized by always helping and being so patient with the disorganized life I live.

And finally there is Jordan... the newest addition to our apartment and he is also pretty cool... probably one of the coolest kids I know, and he is also my BFFFF, oh and did I mention his awesome shoes... well they are pretty sweet.

So, as you can see, these people are the most awesome people around and also my best friends. I have a pretty awesome life.. (just sayin) and am glad that I have such awesome friends that are always around.
