and she passed!

Hello family!!! Well this week was so good! we saw sooo many miracles and being blessed so much!!! Yesterday especially! we had a member bring 4 people to church and then after church we were talking to some of the members and this cute lady walked in and usually when that happens it is someone for english class, but the members asked what she wanted and she said she wanted to learn the gospel!!! WOW! Just so you know that does not happen very often, but she is sooo adorable... apparently she had a dream where she saw Jesus calling to her and since then she knew she needed to go search for a church and it just so happens that she has been passing by our church for years and knew where it was... she has waited a while trying to get a friend to come with her, but yesterday she decided to just come in and we were so lucky we were still at the church to meet her! She's adorable and i am so excited to teach her again!! Then this week we had our investigator, S. Noon, be interviewed to be baptized! YAY! so we were way excited for the interview... she has been investigating for over a year and has interviewed once already and didn't pass... but we truly felt like she was ready so she went into the interview.. then the other elder scared us b/c he was like the elder that's interviewing her is super hard... he hasn't had anyone he's interviewed pass before! AHH! that made us a little nervous... so we were waiting and then after only a 1/2 hour our investigator came out... which made us even more nervous b/c they are usually at least an hour... then the elder comes out w/ kind of a somber look... but then gives us the thumbs up!!! YAY!!! So we are sooooooo happy and excited! S. Noon is great! and we are going to have her baptism on saturday.. the only sad thing is that either me or s. steele won't get to be here for it :( transfers are on thursday and we still dont know who is moving! but we are both so happy that she is finally getting baptized!! Anyways things are going great! I am about to start my last transfer... which blows my mind!! I am not ready for this to be anywhere close to being over, i love it too much!! but we'll see if i stay here or move my last transfer! Hope everything is going well at home! Love you!

busy busy busy

Hello Family!!! Well this week was just a blurrrrrr!!! I can't even believe how fast it went!! We were all over the place this week! We had a zone training we had to go to this week and we had to do some other training to help some of the other sisters in another zone as well so we were just going back and forth between our area and the other 2 zones so it was pretty crazy! But when we were in our area it was soooo good! This week we had some amazing lessons with our investigators! We have a new invesitigator.. s. wiew! She is AMAZING! So we taught her the restoration on monday and gave her a BoM and committed her to read... and then we met with her on tuesday and guess where she was... 1 Nephi 11!!!!! WHHAATTT?!?! That does not happen very often!! So we were soo excited and she had soo many great questions and just so excited to read! It was awesome! She now has a goal to be baptized next month! Then we taught her again on saturday and started the plan of salvation... and after an hour had gotten to talk about the atonement.. but when we started to close the lesson, she was like wait.... i want to know it all right now! Can't we just stay!! hahaha She's soooooo good!!!! So excited for her!!! Then yesterday at church we had a couple walk-ins who are protestant, but when we were in sunday school we were learning about working and learning as members out of gospel principles and it was so cool to hear one of them share a brief testimony that god guided them to come to our church today b/c she had been having a lot of questions about her work and what should take more priority work or family! So she said she got her answer! So cool! AH! so many little miracles everyday! Anyways things here are going great! This next week is going to be another busy one! We have to go on 2 switch offs and prepare for another zone conference! Hope all is good at home! Love you!! Love, S. Itri

and that's why this is the lord's work and not man's

Helllllloooo family!!! How is everyone doing!??! hope all is going great! Well this week has just been a whirl wind of events but i will start with the most important... we had a baptism yesterday!!! YAYYY!!!! Her name is S. Noon and she is awesome!! she has been investigating for over a year and we have been working with her for the past 3 months and she's finally made the commitment! I am sooo excited for her b/c she truly understands the commitment she's made and that's why it has taken her so long b/c she needed to know 100% this was the path for her!! AH! i am just sooo happy for her and i know her life is just going to get so much better!! yay! The next event of the week... transfer meeting!!! So we got the a call on tuesday saying the me and s. wiganda would not be moving and that our 2 companions would be... and so we just assumed that we would be getting 2 new luugs (greenies) b/c their were 11 new sisters coming in... so we have this thing here called payagoning which is basically guessing where everyone is moving to and such... just according to what makes the most sense... so that's what we payagoned that we would have 2 new sisters with us... well the morning of transfer meeting we get a call from the APs.... they wanted to talk to our companions (who just got done with training) and guess what.. they got called to be trainers!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!! so they will be training after only 3 months of being in thailand!! WHOA!!! Crazy right... well then it gets better... 6 others from their group are training too!!! and no one from my group is... i am now a "sister training leader" and my companion is S. Wiganda... we are still in srinakarin... with no other sisters... and still no elders!! WHHHAATT?!?!? yes so this is how you know this is God's work and not ours b/c nothing about what happened actually makes sense... but it just shows that God knows better than us!! But as far as this next transfer goes i am soo excited and so sad b/c i feel like it is going to go by suuppperr fast!!! So me and s. wiganda are the leaders over all the sisters in Bangkok... which means this next transfer we will be going on 6 switch-offs and to 3 zone trainings... and to top it off we are now combining our 2 areas together!! AHHH!! soo this next transfer is going to be busy, busy, busy! I am way excited but i dont' want it to go by soooo fast!! Anyways everything here is great! i love everything about being here... i hope alll is great at home! love you all Love, S. Itri

foood

Hello Family!! This week was another exciting week! So the members here now know that it is getting close to transfers so they are inviting us over to eat ALL THE TIME!!! AHHH!!! its sooo good, but sooo bad b/c they make sooo much food! But it has been sooo much fun b/c they are teaching us how to make the food as well! So that has been great! I am soo excited to try some of these recipes! Its soo good! I hope you are all ready for some spicy food when i get back!! haha This week we also had stake conference which was good! I got too see all the members from some of my old areas which is always fun! They talked about some good things, especially in helping with missionary work, so i am super excited for that! We'll see how it goes!! This next week we will also be having one of our investigators be interviewed for baptism!!! yay!! she is soo funny! She was like... wait you or s. steel might not be here for my baptism, ok im going to email your mission president! i won't allow that, you both have to stay!! hahaha sooo cute!! love her! her name is noon and she has been an investigator for over a year! but she is soo good! She just wants to make sure this is for her! Anyways, everything is going great! i love it all, hope you are all doing great! love you! Love, S. Itri Picutres 1/2: our yummy food we made 3: our awesome matching district... poor elders huh?? hahaha

Hello Family! So this week was good! we had an exploding amount of new investigators this week! It was sooo crazy!! We had sooo many new people come to English Class this week and we were able to introduce the gospel with them and it was sooo good! We have some people that we started teaching that are really great! I am way excited to see them progress! We have this really sweet old lady that we started teaching and in the first lesson we gave her a goal to be baptized! She was sooo interested in everything and sooo excited to read the Book of Mormon!! And she even called us to set up the appointment! It was soooo great! She is already Christian, but doesnt really go to any other church she just has faith in Jesus Christ and wants to follow him! She is soo great! And i am soo excited to teach her more! Then This week we had a great lesson with one of our other investigaters, S. Noon, she has been struggling with her testimony in Joseph Smith, So we decided to watch the full length Joseph Smith: The Prophet of the Restoration with her and it was such a great lesson, and even though it was in English she was sooo intently watching every second of it, and at the end she asked "why did Joseph have to die" and as we explained more, i asked her if she thought that Joseph Smith would endure all those trial and sacrifice his life if this wasn't for God, or if it was just his own church, and she said No, for sure no, So i think it finally clicked with her! YAY! I am sooo happy i think that's just what she needed to start to understand more fully! Anyways, everything is going great! Hope all is going well at home! Love you all! Love, S. Itri 1: We went soap boxing for district meeting: stand on a stool and testify! 2: "

I'm Glad I'm Not In Europe

Hello Family! So this week was a rollercoaster that's for sure! But it was good! This week we had some interesting experiences... so i'll start with...i hate the rain! hahaha So in Thailand when in rains the work basically stops...which stinks... but they are afraid of the rain here so if it starts to rain they will cancel their appointments, turn off their phones, and pretty much stay inside... so it rained for 2 days last week and that basically turned into us struggling to find work! We had appointments that we called and confirmed an hour before and then it came to the time they were suppose to show up and they cancelled! AH it was a little frustrating but it all worked out. Then this week we went and visited the boss of one of our members and he is Christian already, so we thought that would be kind of a good thing, b/c that doesnt happen very often here and thought oh yeah he'll have that good solid background... well how wrong we were! He is a very headstrong person and we couldn't even get a single word in like the whole time we were there... pretty sure he was trying to convert us to his religion! haha but it just made me think of how grateful i am that i am here in thailand and not in europe trying to teach tons of people with a christian background! Buddhist background is easier! (never thought i'd say that!) haha But it was a fun experience! This week we also had the chance to teach a guy from Nigera! We met him a few weeks ago and invited him to come to English class (even though he already speaks english) well sure enough he came! So usually we have Elders who serve in the International branch here who will teach people that aren't thai, so we gave those elders his number and they made an appointment, but then the elders weren't able to make it out the our church building, so we ended up teaching! Anyways overall this week was soo good! Hope everyone at home is doing good! love you! Love, S. Itri

call me maybe

Hello Family! So this week was another great week! we started it off with what we call "showcase" which is every 6 weeks in English class we have basically a review day and it kinda of just turns into a party... this week was especially fun b/c it turned more into a dance party! haha for one of the "shows" they did a rendition of "call me maybe" i think thats what it's called... it's a song that came out while ive been on my mission but i guess its pretty big... but anyways suuupppperrr funny! love it! Then this week we also got to go "Dan Jonesing" with the new missionaries! We got 3 new sisters in this transfer which officially makes every sister in the mission in training right now!! CRAZY! But soo cool! and we found out we will be getting 11 more sisters next transfer! WOW!! There are going to be very young missionaries in this mission! b/c all the rest of us will be going home within the next 3-4 months! So it will be interesting to see these missionaries start training on transfer 3 or 4 (which is suuper young fyi) There will have to be lots of blessings here, especially with the language! But i know it will happen! We also had the chance to go to a "sports day" with 2 other branches here and it was soo fun! And it was so fun to meet members and investigators of other branches too... and apparently i am famous in one branch... they all knew me even though i have never served there, but they all immediately recognized me and said they have heard a lot about me! hahahaha super random but fun! Then to top off our week we had a baptism!!! YAYYYYY!!! Her name is Pink and she is the daughter of another member here. She is soooo cute and it was soo great to see how happy she was yesterday to be baptized! I just can't believe the amazing change that we have seen with her in just over a month! She was the shyest person ever but now she is talking more with the members and bore her testimony and was just sooo happy allll day! So that was definitely the best way to top off the week! Pictures: 1: last weeks adventure of ice-skating! This was S. Wigandas first time! 2: Our English class after Showcase! 3: Pinks baptism! 4: "
Well family.. it was great to talk to you last week! This week was absolutely AMAAAZZZIINNNGG!!! We saw soooo many miracles and to top off the week Elder Anderson was here and shared some awesome things with us! So this week started off with a miracle with a Less-active member we just started working with... just a week ago we tried calling her to go visit her, and she would just always say it's not convinient or she doesn't have time, but one day we were finally able to go over with a member and found out that she has been struggling with a lot of things right now and she hadn't been eating and just in a really low place. So we went back again the next day but this time at first she wouldn't let us in again, but then another LA member showed up and saved the day! She basically just commanded her to open the door and let us in and she did! haha then they just got talking about how stupid it was that they weren't going to church and stuff, which was so amazing! Then this past week we get a phone call and it's this LA saying that she misses us and wants us to go visit her! WOOOOWWW What a change in just 1 week! And when we went to visit her she looked so good! She was a completely new person! She cut her hair, got ready and she even had a referral for us!! AHHHH!!! SOOO COOOOL to see such a change! And she came to see the Apostle yesterday too! So that was one amazing part of the week! Then this week we had Pink interview to be baptized and she passed! YAY! So she will be getting baptized on sunday! She is sooo adorable and even she has changed so much since the first time we saw her she wouldn't say a word! She was sooo shy! but now she has opened up sooo much and is soo excited to get baptized! What a blessing it is to see how the gospel changes and blesses the lives of others! AH! I love it soo much! And finally to top off the week we had meetings w/ E. Neil Andersen! He is so nice! He talked about Missionaries and the atonement and what a blessing it is to have the atonement in our lives and how to more fully apply it in our lives! SO GOOD! Then in the stake meeting yesterday he announced that there will eventually be a temple here in Bangkok for sure, right now it's not a matter of if, but a matter of when... So it was a good little wake up call to everyone that we need to be doing more here to build the church here and be prepared to have a temple, and that we have to have people here to run the temple... anyways it was all just soooooooo goooooooddd!!! Well I hope your week was as good as mine! Love you all! Love, S. Itri Pictures: 1: held a little monkey 2: All my Sapaansung friends! 3: Crocodile farm

i didn't know what i stepped in

Hello family! This week was sooo good!!! So many amazing things happened! This week i got to go back to Bangkapi on a switch off and it was soooo good! (That's one of my old areas) But i was able to go see some old investigators and help the sisters there a bit! and i got to see the members that i just absolutlely adore! So that was so good! It was so great to go back! This week we also were able to go do some service for an elderly lady in our ward. Her name is Pan and she is no longer able to walk and has been bed ridden for many years... they aren't sure exactly what happened with her legs, but after she made a trip to the temple and came back she has not been able to walk since... super sad, but she still has sooo much faith! And even though she can't go to church, she still reads every day and has so much faith! It's amazing!! Anyways, so we went to clean her house, and im pretty sure no one has cleaned it in years! It was soooo awful, but definitely an adventure! There were so many suspicious things in that house and at one point i honestly do not have a clue, what brown mucky gross gunk i stepped in, but i think it's so much better not to know! hahaha then at one point me and one of the other sisters didn't know whether to laugh or cry b/c we lifted the bed and liquid of some sort just poured out... yup! Such an adventure, but it was so fun! I am so glad we were able to help, even just a bit! Those are just some of the highlights of the week! I hope everything is going great at home! And next week we will skype!!! so same deal as christmas. I will be on at about 9 in the morning here and that will be about 7 pm on sunday night for you... so don't forget! Same account: jenitri See you next week!!! Love, S. Itri Pictures: 1: one of my investigators from bangkapi! 2: S. Pan 3: I found a byu shirt in thailand!!!

2 YEARSS

Helllllllooooo Kraabkrua!! How are you?! Well this week was awesome! We had all sorts of fun adventures! We have basically been trying to visit lots of members and get familiar with the area and it has been soooo fun! The members here are amazing! I was a little worried at first to come here, but things have been so good! The bishop here LOVES us four sisters, he refers to us as his daughters all the time! it's so fun! I am loving this area so much! This week we also had a baptism!! YAY!! It was a couple, B. Ag and sister Lin! They are AMAZInG!! They are like the best example of enduring EVER!! They have been investigators for 2 years and finally were able to get legally married and now baptized! They are the cutest couple in the world and everyone is just soooo happy for them! They are such an asset to this ward and everyone supports them so much! The service was awesome as well! We even had our mission president there! Over all just an amazing way to end the week with a baptism! Anyways.... that's about the most exciting news of the week! I am loving everything! I hope all is good! Love, S. There's a ghost in the Church (and not the Holy kind)- april 21

Helloooo Family!!! So this week was another amazing one!! Even though opening/whitewashing an area is hard and sometimes it's hard to figure out what to do, we are still having so much success!! This week at church there were 8 investigators between our 2 companionships! SOOO AMAAZING!!! This week we also had 2 investigators get interviewed for baptism! There names are Lin and Ag and they are the most adorable little couple ever!! They have been investigators for 2 years... really they have been "dry members" they have just been waiting to get legally married, but b/c Ag is from Vietnam it was hard for them to get all there paper work and stuff in order... but they finally did it! And they will be getting baptized this next sunday! YAY! Such a miracle! This week we also started teaching the daughter of one of our RCs here. Her name is Pink and she is 17 and so adorable! She is super shy but she is starting to open up more to us and she is doing so good! She was so excited to tell us she has been reading and praying this week! And we were able to give her a goal to be baptized! She will be great! Ok so now for the Ghost Story...oooooo..... haha So this week me and my comp. were at the church alone and i went to the bathroom and then i started hearing a bunch of noises down the hall, but didn't think anything of it, whatever. But then the next day we were walking home w/ the other 2 sisters here and one of them was like, S. Itri, how do you feel in the Chruch, do you feel weird at all? B/c i feel super weird there, and then her companion was like, AHHHH ME TOOO!!! she was in the bathroom and thought someone went in, but there wasn't anyone there and sooo we all kind of got creeped out... but to break the mood, 1 sister, the thai one, was like... oh it's ok... the ghost can speak English so you don't have to worry!! HAHAHa so funny, but for reals there is some ghost livin at our church.. we were talking to an elder that served here a couple transfers ago and he was like "wait... it's back???" but dead serious! AHH!! So we are going to talk more about our ghost situation this week in district meeting, i'll let you know! hahah Anyways! This week week i also had a little breakdown b/c i got what we call our "death papers" aka the mail that tells me i have to get ready to go home! AHHHHH!!!! i dooonnntt likkkee itt!!! i cannot believe that it is coming to that! I hate hate hate it! I feel like i just got here and there's no way i'm ever leaving! haha Well i hope your week was good! Love you all! Love, S. Itri Pictures! 1: Tim tam slam with our district.. yup we have 6 sisters and 2 elders in our district... it's great! 2: My death papers :'( 3: Our new bikes! haha 4: I found wawa in thailand!!! hahahaha

New Year- April 16

Hello Family!!! Well this week was CRAZY!!!! sooo 1st off, i moved! ahhh!!! i have mixed feelings about it... i am going to miss my last branch sooo much! But I am super excited to serve in my new branch in Sinakarin!!! I am opening the area with my trainee and 2 other sisters here! So all 4 of us are new here and there are NO ELDERS!!! WOOOOO!!! hahaha so it's going to be fun/interesting/ i don't even know!!! hahaha just the 4 of us sisters in a brand new apartment! opening an area that none of us are familiar with!! and 2 of the sisters are greenies!!! hahaha its going to be an adventure that's for sure!! As for what we call it here... my luug or my child aka the person i am training... guess what!??!! I KNEW HER ALREADY!!! It's Emily Steele!!!!! we were in the same ward freshman and sophmore year... and Yup she's the one i wanted to set up with Jason!!!!!!! CRAZY RIGHT??!?!?! hahahahahaha we were both soooooooo shocked when we got assigned to be together!! i knew she was coming in so i sent her some mail while she was in the MTC but we thought there would be NO way that we would be companions b/c she came in with 11 other sisters!! but i guess there's a reason!!! (i guess jason will have to wait another year and a half to get married... ahhahaha) But i am sooooo excited to be with here! Anyways as far as the week goes it has been crazy b/c 1. we just moved into a new apartment and literally have NOTHING so we are trying to get things organized with that... and also it is Songkran... or New year's here! WOOO!!! So it's basically a big party for 4 days!!! Thai people know how to celebrate new years thats for sure!! it has basically been a 4 day water fight here!! oh my goodness it is soooo fun! this was the closest to swimming we can get here on our mission!! hahaha but we bascially just went with the branch and had water guns and buckets of water and cars would drive by and they would have the same and we would just throw water and then they have this paste stuff they put all over you too! SO FUN! i cant even explain it very well! but this week was a great week! I hope that eveything is good at home! love you and miss you!!! Love, S. Itri

The Draft- April 8

Hello Family! How is everyone? Sounds like everyone had a great Easter and Conference! I still haven't watched Conference yet, but i can't wait! we will be watching it this weekend... This weekend is also Sonkgrang or the Thai New Years, so basically this whole weekend will be a HUUUGGEE Water fight over all of Thailand! I am way excited b/c we will get to play also! Yay! This week is also transfer week, so i am a little nervous... i still don' t know if i will be moving or staying here in Sapaansung, all i know is that i will be training! AHH!! It will be so weird! but i am excited! So in Thailand every male who turns 21 is enrolled in the "draft" to be in the army here, and this week was the time for one of our RC's B. Bas to go to the draft, basically they pull out a paper, if its red they have to go into the army and serve for 2 years, but if it's black they are off the hook! So this past week he has been fasting and praying that he would not have to go into the army b/c he said he would rather be "God's Soldier" and be a missionary... well he pulled a black paper! YAY! super excited for him! He said he was so nervous the whole time and the 4 people in front of him all pulled red so he was suuuuppperrr nervous! But he is good to go! And once he hits his year mark as a member he plans to be a missionary! AHH!!! So awesome! He has such amazing faith! Anyways that's about the biggest news of the week! I hope that you are all doing well! Love you! Love, S. Itri

5 Years- March 31

Hello Family!!! HAAAPPPYYY EEEAAASSTTEEERRR!!!! How was everyone's easter?? Did you do anything special? Here they didn't have any huge activity but it was still an awesome weekend! We helped out with the primary activity this week and it was so fun! They had an easter egg hunt, the first time for most of the thai kids! It was soooo cuuttee!!! they are adorable! Then yesterday we had dinner at a members house and had an egg hunt and watched the testaments! It was fun! And we ate MEXICAN food! SOOOO GOOODD!! I didn't realize how much i missed it! hahaha but it was an awesome way to spend easter... we had 4 of our RCs there and they were so cute! They LLOOVEED The testements... a couple even cried! there was such a great spirit there! Ok another amazingly awesome part of our week! B. Non.... so he has been an investigator for FIVE YEEAAAAAARRRS!!! sooo long, he is 19 and just hasn't had support from his family to be baptized... but we gave him a goal to be baptized, and originally it was for next sunday... but this week he called and asked to change it to this week, he didn't want to wait... in fact he just set up the interview himself... he didn't even call us at first! hahaha He is sooo gooood! So he got baptized yesterday and it was the greatest thing ever! Everyone in the Branch was soooo happy for him and so excited that he finally did it! Then when he bore his testimony, ah! he just has the greatest testimony ever. He talked about how long he has waited for this day, but that he thought it would never come! But here he is baptized! He was so happy and talked about how he knew this is what he needed to do for himself and that his life will just get some much better now! It was so amazing to see so much faith from him! I couldn't be more happy right now! Anyways.. that was definitely the highlight of the week!!! I hope everyone is doing good at home! love you all!! Love, S. Itri

March 25

Hello Family!! Well this week was another great week... i am sorry i feel like my emails are getting pretty reduntant but everything is just great! There isn't anything super huge that happened this week though... just keep working towards getting our investigators to keep progressing! And we have a bunch that are!! We have 2 investigators that will hopefully be baptized on the 7th of april they are awesome! ones name is noan... he has been investigating the church for years... but has always been afraid of his family's reaction.. but he has finally made the decision to get baptized! He is so ready!!! Then there is F who is awesome too!! He has a good testimony.. right now he is just working on getting work things situated so that he can come to church on sundays! but hes got great faith and i know he will be able to do it!! We also had our 14 yr old investigator, Gif, tell us that her parents said that she can get baptized when she turns 15! She is soo excited and can't wait to get baptized! She was so happy that her parents said that she could, even if it does mean waiting a while...and now her parents are even starting to get more and more interested in learning, so hopefully she will be able to get baptized even sooner, with her parents! This week our RC, s. Nok also told us that she now has a goal to be a missionary!!! YAY!!! So happy to hear that! She will be an awesome missionary and has such a strong testimony!! I can't even explain how happy i am to hear when RC's have the goal to go out and be missionaries too!!! ANyways... like i said another great week! I love being here! This is the Lord's work!! Love you!! Love, Sister Itri

TRANSFERS

Hello Family! Well this was ANOTHER great week! So last week i told you i thought i would be moving... well i lied!! I ended up staying here in Sapaansung with S. Vanna... in other words i am "killing" my 4th companion: aka this is the 4th person that i have been with them for their last transfer in the mission.... pretty sure it's a new record! hahaha But i couldn't be more excited! I love my companion and i love this area!!! I am so happy that i didn't have to move... even if i did start to pack before we knew i was staying... haha Anyways as for transfers.. i still had to go to the transfer meeting b/c they did something a little different this time... they said that they would be calling the trainers for next transfer right now! AHHH!!! So i got called as a trainer and will be training in a month! AH! That's the other change... this transfer is only 4 weeks because of the new MTC program! AHHHHH i don't like it.. b/c i know it is going to go by wayyyyyyy tooo fast! Another crazy announcement was that our mission President told us that everyone needs to start preparing as if they would get called to go to Laos... even the sisters! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! so i don't think that I will get called, but i've already been preparing! haha i read a few verses in Laotian everyday... it's very convienient to have a Laotian companion as well! hahaha But it's just exciting the amazing progress that is going on in my mission right now! Another bit of exciting news... they opened a SECOND sisters area in Phitsanulok... which was my greenie area that me and my trainer opened together!!! I am soooo beyond happy! That branch is growing soooo fast and i know the lord is blessing that area soo much! They have 4 sisters 2 elders and a senior couple!! I can't wait to see what happens in the next few months there!! This week we also had a baptism!!!!!! YAY!!! her name is Nok, pretty sure i've talked about her already! But she is adorable! She is a referral from another RC, B. Bas and she has such a great testimony! After she got baptized she shared her testimony and it was so good! She just said how grateful she was to have found the church and she truly feels like this is her family here! Anyways... things are going great! I hope everything is good at home! Love you all! Love, S. Itri

1 YEAR

Hello Family! This week was another great week... other than the fact that it has been one year since i left! AHHHHHH!!!! TERRRIFFYYYINNNGG!!!! I still have not accepted that... i just left and i still have another year and a half! hahaha but it was definitely a little depressing b/c i love it here so much and im sorry but i just never want to come home! hahaha But anyways! This week was sooo good!!! S. Nok got interviewed to be baptized!!! and she passed!!! YAY!!!! She is adorable and is going to be an awesome member! She is SOOO excited to get baptized! I can't even wait... except i think that i may possibly be moving this week so i might not be here to see it :( I really hope i don't have to move! I love it here in sappannsung sooooo much!! The work here is going so great!! And I have only been here 2 transfers so i hope i get to stay at least one more! But we will find out on wednesday if i get to stay or not! This week we had an awesome experience with one of our investigators watching Finding Faith in Christ. Her name is Gift and she is 14 but already has such a strong desire to get baptized... And as we got done watching Finding Faith, we asked her what she liked and she said she liked that Christ forgave everyone despite all the terrible things that they did to him.... and then in her prayer she prayed to be able to forgive others always... It was just such a humbling experience to hear her pray and humble herself to ask for help to forgive others, and the spirit was so strong and she is truly trying to change and be a better person and follow the Savior. I don't know i just thought it was so cool, and the spirit was so strong in that lesson i can't even explain! So anyways that was one of the many great things that happened this week! Well that's about the gist of it this week! I hope everything is just fantastic at home! Love you all!! Love, S. Itri

Hello Family!!! Well this week was AMAZING!! Super busy but so good!!! So that was awesome! Then we had a baptism!!! YAY!! S. Fresh got baptized on saturday and we couldn't be more excited!! She is going to be awesome!!! She has such a great testimony and she just told us yesterday that she wants to be a missionary next year!!! YAY!!! There is nothing better than having an convert say they want to be a missionary!! AHHH!!! I don't even know how to explain how happy i am right now! There are so many miracles here and i love every second of it! I feel so blessed to be a part of the Lord's work and see peoples lives change through being baptized and coming unto the Lord! I hope you are all doing well! Love you all!!! love, S. Itri

interviews

Hello Family! This week was another amazing week! We had our investigator, Fresh get interviewed to get baptized... it was kind of funny b/c she had to have 3 interviews so this week was all about interviews! haha She had her first interview and our district leader asked her to go home and pray about a few things and then he would interview her again... and then after that she needed one more. but for the 3rd one we had to go to the mission office to meet with the person who was going to interview her, and we ended up running into some of the other sisters there and it's just always fun to go to the office! haha But 3rd times the charm right? she passed! and she will be getting baptized this saturday! I am soo excited for her! she has a good testimony and will help this branch a lot! So that was basically our focus for the week was making sure that Fresh was ready to get baptized and that we could prepare her for this change in her life! She is so great and i am so excited for her! This week I also have been working on my Laotian... i now have a BoM in Laotian and my companion is teaching me how to read! It is very similar to Thai, but it's still hard! But it is so fun to learn! I love having a Laotian companion! She is so cute, and i think that i have talked more with her than any of my other companions! hahaha She LOOVVESS to talk! It's great! it's really helping me with my thai too! I love this work! I know it is the work of God! I am so lucky to be here and love every second of it! -Love, S. Itri

miracles, Miracles, MIRACLES!!!!

Hello family! So i know every week i say there are miracles... but there truly are!! And this week is even more so that usual!!! So this week was transfer meeting right... well this week they invited the WHOLE mission to come down to bangkok for this meeting! We weren't sure why, but after we were all told who our new companions were, our mission president got up and started going through some history of our mission... until he told us that for the first time in our missions history we will be sending the first young missionaries to Laos!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! So this does not mean that the door is open to Laos yet though, so don't go telling people Laos is open to proselyting, b/c it is not there yet, but our mission president gave this analogy, "The door is not yet opened, but we've turned the doorknob a bit!" AHHH!!! So the 4 elders that have gone will only be able to teach english and do service and what not, but it is such a huge step! I am sooooo beyond excited!!! What an amazing miracle this week right?!?!?!? Ok and now to make it even more exciting... my new companion's name is Sister Vanna, and guess what?! She's from LAOS!! So It makes this announcement even better!!! She is so great! and i am so excited to work with her. She keeps telling me how excited, but nervous she is for the elders in Laos but can't wait to be able to go help them when she is finished being a missionary! But she is so great and i know this transfer is going to be awesome!! And she's even going to try and teach me some Laotion!!! WOOO!!! I am sooo stoked! Anyways that is definitely the highlight of this past week and i don't even know what else to say b/c i am just so excited!!! And tonight we have one of our investigators, S. Fresh getting interviewed so that is also so exciting! She will hopefully be getting baptized next Sat. the 16th! Yay! I know this is truly the work of God and I am so blessed to be here at this time and see all these miracles come forth! This gospel is true! Love you all! Love, Sister Itri

Miracles!!

Hello Family! Well, this week was absolutely incredible!! It started off with our Recent convert telling us about his amazing story of faith and prayer... He was on this committee to organize a group of 600 people to go to some activity and they had less than a week to get people, and already a bunch of people backed out and they only had 8 people going at that point. So in the middle of his meeting he told everyone to be quiet, he knelt down in the middle of the room and prayed (very loudly he said) and after his prayer, his phone rang and it was someone saying they had 100 people to go on the trip.. and from there everyone else's phone started to ring until they had reached their goal of 600 people! SO amazing! He has so much faith, and all of the other people there saw and and kept asking him what he did and he was able to testify! He is such a great example! And he was so excited to share this experience with us. He has so much faith that the Lord will help him with literally ANYTHING! Then another miracle this week, as we were out putting up flyers for English class we walked into this country club type place and were talking to the front desk, and as we were waiting for permission to put up our sign one of the workers comes up to us and was like... I'm buddhist but i want to be Christian... what do i need to do?! WHAHHATTT!??! It was a miracle for sure! That does not happen very often, so we are sooo excited to teach her, and she already has a strong desire to come unto Christ which is awesome! The Lord truly prepares people and puts us in their paths! I am so grateful to be a part of this work! There was also a baptism for the Elders investigator, her name is Sister Earth and she is soooo great!!!! I love her to death! She already helps out so much and just loves being at the church! She is the one who taught us how to make pad thai! I am so excited for her! She will be such an amazing member and help the church here in Thailand so much! This week we also decided to go "Dan Jones'ing" basically go to a crowded area and just preach to everyone! We brought a white board to write questions and just started testifying to everyone who would listen! It was awesome! We went with the other 4 elders in our district and we were able to teach so many people! It was so fun to just go out, be bold and talk to literally everyone! Such a great experience, and i think we are going to go do it again this week! haha Well things here are still going great! I love every second! This week I will be getting a new companion b/c mine right now is going home on Thursday! WEEIRRDD! But it will be good! Love you all! Hope everything is good at home! Love, Sister Itri

FINALLLLYYYY!!!!

Hello Family! So this week was awesome!!! We went on switch offs this week with the sisters that are serving in the international branch. So my companion went to international (where she had to speak english the whole time.... GROOOOSSSSSS) And S. Chan came with me to Sapaansung! She is so cute! She is from Hong Kong and speaks like 10 languages. But it was so fun to serve with her! We both had the same trainer too so that was fun! It's interesting to see how we both work b/c we did have the same trainer! But it was so fun! Then, the highlight of the week.... Brother Bus got baptized!!!! FIIINNNNAAALLLLYYYY!!!!! I feel like there has just been problem after problem trying to get him baptized, despite the fact that he was ready a month ago... he finally got baptized on Saturday! It was the best thing ever! And to top it off... our recent convert... the one that just got baptized about 3 weeks ago... he was the one who baptized him!!! AHHHHH!!!! There honestly is no better feeling than seeing your RC baptize your investigator!! It was sooo cute too b/c he is like 1/2 the size of B. Bus... we weren't sure if he could do it! But all was good and it was so amazing! Another side note for Jason... this week we gave out a Book of Mormon in Tagalog!! hahaha! So there's this one restaraunt that the sisters love to go to on P-day and all the workers there are from the Philippines and there is one that is our server like EVERY time, so we decided that this time we would bring him a Book of Mormon as his tip! hahaha So we gave it to him and he said he would read it! We still have to go back and follow up with him, but that would be awesome if he does! hahaha Another great week here in Thailand! I love every second of it! I hope everyone is doing good at home! Love you all! Love, S. Itri

Wan Deg aka Children's day

HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY! Yep it exists! The second saturday in January is Childrens day in Thailand! How cool is that! They need to pick it up in America... it's not fair that there's a mothers day, a fathers day, but what about the kids right!??! Well they have it right here so it's ok! hahaha So this year for Children's day our Zone was able to go volunteer and an event for kids here in Bangkok! It was so fun! they just had this huge area set up for the kids to go and play games and do a bunch of random activites and stuff, and we were there to play with them and help around w/ the games and such! It was way cool! I LOVE KIDS! haha On another note, we also have a baptism coming up this week! Brother Bus is his name and he is awesome!! He was actually suppose to get baptized this last saturday but during his interview our District Leader changed his date on us.... not really sure why, b/c he passed his interview w/ flying colors... the DL even said that he has never had a better interview and what not, but he still moved his date to this next sat. the 19th! But I am extatic! He is such an amazing investigator... in fact when i first got to this area I had no clue he was an investigator b/c he was just hanging around at the church w/ the members helping with everything! All he has been waiting for is to get school off on Sundays, and he was finally able to so now he can be baptized! I am soo happy! So that was definitley a highlight of the week, there is nothing better than seeing someone change and come unto Christ! :) I love the work here in Thailand! There is nothing better! I hope you are all doing good at home. Love you all! Love, S. Itri
